Mitsunobu Tanimoto joined ONO PHARMA USA, INC. as the Executive Vice President, U.S. Head of Clinical Development in January 2023. As U.S. Head of Clinical Development, Mitsunobu is responsible for leading the U.S. Clinical Development organization in planning, directing, and executing all clinical development activities. 

Mitsunobu has over 23 years of extensive experience within ONO PHARMACEUTICAL group. He has wide-ranging clinical development experiences, including non-oncology and oncology. Mitsunobu worked in the Clinical Development Planning organization at ONO PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD. in Japan prior to being transferred to ONO PHARMA USA, INC. He also has held over two years of overseas assignments in the U.K. to conduct clinical studies in the U.K. and EU countries prior to joining ONO PHARMA USA, INC.  

Mitsunobu holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Life Sciences, University of Hyogo School of Science.
